Yakiniku BBQ like a Local
Located in Roppongi which is a vibrant district in Tokyo known for its trendy bars, high-end boutiques, and bustling nightlife, it was the perfect setting for a summer festival. After spending the evening immersing myself in the lively atmosphere of the Summer Matsuri, I decided to treat myself to a delicious yakiniku a.k.a. meat barbecue.
Despite the late hour, the restaurant was bustling with patrons, and I found myself joining a queue of eager diners. As my turn finally came, the friendly waiter led me to a table with a prime view of the street outside. The barbecue was a feast for the senses. Juicy, succulent pieces of meat, perfectly grilled to my liking, were served alongside a flavorful sauce and vegetables as sides. As I savored each bite, I couldn't help but feel satisfied and content.
3) Nikoniko Mazemen in Kanda Sudacho, Chiyoda City, Tokyo

After a day of anime treasure hunting in Akihabara's Animate, we were famished and decided to venture off the beaten path. The Sri Lankan fusion Japanese restaurant we found was a hidden gem, tucked away in a quieter corner of the district. Despite the slightly spooky atmosphere of the darker streets, the anticipation of delicious food kept us going.
The restaurant was a cozy little place with a short wait. The food, however, was well worth the wait. The fusion dishes were a delightful combination of flavors, showcasing the best of both Sri Lankan and Japanese cuisine. The crispy katsu paired perfectly with the rich curry sauce, and the fried chicken in the donburi was a satisfying treat.
While the food was exceptional, the restaurant could benefit from a bit of sprucing up. A little cleaning and maintenance could enhance the overall dining experience. Nevertheless, our culinary adventure in Akihabara was a memorable one, filled with delicious food and a unique cultural experience.

Indulging on Wagyu
The bustling city of Shibuya was the perfect backdrop for a delicious dinner, and we found just the right spot in a hidden underground restaurant. The long queue snaking down the stairs was a testament to its popularity, but we were determined to savor the renowned wagyu beef.
Once inside, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant was packed with customers, creating a lively and energetic ambiance. The aroma of sizzling meat filled the air, tantalizing our taste buds.
To complement our mains, we also ordered a plate of chicken katsu. The crispy, golden-brown exterior was a delight, and the juicy, tender meat inside was simply mouthwatering. It was a perfect accompaniment to our meal and a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant.
Overall, our dining experience in Shibuya was unforgettable. The wagyu beef was a culinary masterpiece, and the chicken katsu was a delightful surprise. While the portion of the wagyu could have been larger, the quality was impeccable. The bustling atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall enjoyment of our meal.

Finally, our turn came, and we were seated at a long table shared with others, a very common seating layout in Japan. When the ebi tempura arrived, it was a sight to behold. The golden-brown, crispy exterior of the shrimp tempura was perfectly cooked, and the aroma was simply divine.
The first bite was pure bliss. The tempura was light and airy, with a perfectly seasoned batter that enhanced the natural sweetness of the shrimp. The accompanying rice was fluffy and complemented the flavors of the tempura. The dish was a symphony of textures and tastes, satisfying our cravings in every way.
To top it off, the generous portion of ebi tempura was accompanied by a variety of tasty side dishes that complemented the main course. The miso soup was warm and comforting, while the pickled vegetables added a refreshing tang. Together, they created a well-rounded and satisfying meal.
As we savored each bite, we couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the culinary experience. The ebi tempura was truly exceptional, exceeding our expectations and leaving us wanting more. We couldn't wait to share this hidden gem with our family and friends, recommending it to anyone who appreciates fine Japanese cuisine.
